Ron Nolan

Owner/Partner

Ron Nolan founded Nolan Real Estate Services, Inc. in 1980 as a firm specializing in the multi-family and hospitality industries. Mr. Nolan moved to the Kansas City area to accept a position as the first Executive Manager of the book publishing arm of Hallmark Cards. In the 1970’s, he left Hallmark to start his own brokerage company, Nolan and Associates, which became a leader in the region, employing more than 20 brokers. Disappointed with the quality of third-party management, he began a property management division, and was soon managing third-party assets. Nolan Real Estate Services now owns and manages over 38 properties in the Midwest and Southwest.

Paul Fingersh

Partner

Paul Fingersh has been associated with the company since 1993. After attaining a BA from Swarthmore College and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University, Mr. Fingersh began his career in the real estate investment industry with The O’Connor Group, a New York based real estate investment advisor. Before joining NRES, Mr. Fingersh was an Executive Vice President of a community bank holding company in charge of real estate workouts, REO, and lending.

Kyle Scott

President of Nolan Real Estate Services, Inc.

Kyle has been with the company since 1990. After attaining his BS from Oklahoma State University, he spent several years as a manager in the hotel industry. He began his career with Nolan as a Property Manager responsible for the day-to-day operations and financial position of 1,600 units on ten residential properties. Kyle was then promoted to the position of Director of Property Management, where he was responsible for the supervision, monitoring, support, and motivation of multi-family staff. Rarely seen behind his desk, Kyle continues his “hands-on” approach with his entire staff by constantly communicating with, and motivating, everyone in the field.

Peter Engelman

Director of Acquisitions

Peter has been with the company since 1985. Mr. Engelman received his MBA from Rockhurst University, and also holds a real estate brokerage and sales license in Missouri, Kansas and Arizona. As the Director of Acquisitions, Mr. Engelman is responsible for the negotiation and closing of all real estate acquisitions beginning with sourcing, property identification, due diligence, contract preparation and review, sale closing/management transition functions and has direct interaction with, and coordination of, attorneys, appraisers and accountants.

Lynn Wright

CFO

Lynn has been with the company in various capacities since 1983. A graduate of Ohio State University with a degree in accounting, her responsibilities include financial statement preparation, budgeting, company IT systems, policies and systems for reporting rehab activities on newly purchased assets, loan draw submissions; insurance bidding and risk management for the parent company as well as owned assets and vendor contracts. As if that is not enough, she also works with Mr. Engelman on acquisitions, financing and sales of assets.

Susan Pohl

Vice President of Acquisitions

Susan Pohl joined the company in 2005 as Vice President of Acquisitions to further our goal of acquiring well located, newer Class A and B assets throughout Texas and the Southwestern and Southeastern United States. Prior to joining KC Venture Group, Susan was with Flagship Properties and The Morgan Group. Susan has acquired and financed over $550,000,000 in multi-family assets over the past ten years and disposed of over $150,000,000 in assets. She has a BA in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin and holds a brokers license in the states of Texas and Georgia.

Debbie Cannon

Director of Human Resources

Debbie has been with the company since 1986. She instituted a Personnel Policy and Procedures Manual, Personnel Handbook, and Affirmative Action Plan for Nolan Real Estate Services as well as being responsible for all record keeping in regard to positive or negative action taken toward any employee. She is also involved in accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and financial statement preparation. Prior to joining the company, Ms. Cannon worked in the hotel industry as on-site accountant responsible for preparing daily reports and cash deposits, accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, payroll, reconciling statements, auditing general ledger, preparing middle and end of the month reports and budgets.

Carrie Green

Midwest Regional Vice President

Carrie has been with the company since 1998 and has been in the multi-family housing industry for over 20 years. She is responsible for the overall financial performance of a 3,300 + unit portfolio, including daily operations and asset repositioning. Prior to joining Nolan Real Estate, Ms. Green was an Assistant Vice President for a 5,000-unit portfolio, overseeing 4 regional managers and 2 city managers where she developed and implemented programs to maximize profit, control systems to uncover “holes” in property performance.

Cheryl Ducote

Southwest Regional Vice President

Cheryl has been with the company since 2005. She is responsible for the overall financial performance of a 6,100 + unit portfolio, including daily operations and asset repositioning. Prior to joining Nolan Real Estate, Ms. Ducote was Vice President of Operations for a company where she supervised a portfolio of 13,000 units and managed 300+ employees.

Melissa Hartman

Vice President Asset Management

Melissa is the newest member to the Nolan team. After earning a BA from The University of Texas in Austin and an MBA from George Washington University, Melissa began working on acquisitions and dispositions of distressed loan and REO portfolios, for both the RTC and private investors. She then served as Vice President of Jupiter Realty Corporation, where she was involved in asset management, acquisition and disposition of bond-financed multi-family portfolios in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Tennessee and Texas. As Director of Investments at McCord Development, Inc., Melissa was responsible for sourcing of bond opportunities, bond and real estate underwriting, market research, and financing; and eventually ran the property management division.
